Set in the popular ‘village’ of Whitchurch in North Cardiff, Whitchurch Tennis Club (WTC) has been in existence for over 100 years and is one of the fastest growing tennis clubs in Wales. The club features 7 all-weather hard courts (3 floodlit), a practice wall, a large modern clubhouse with a licensed bar and ample parking.

All standards of play are catered for from beginner to advanced, with recreational tennis and inter-club league tennis all year round.

There’s a year round coaching programme for adults and juniors and the quiet residential area around the club provides a safe, family-friendly environment.

New members and visitors are always welcome at WTC!!

WTC LEASE UPDATE - "We appreciate how frustrating the recent news from the Welsh Government has been, regarding tennis opening up and are awaiting the outcome of Tennis Wales’ appeal. Be assured that we are doing all we can to assist Tennis Wales in its bid to ensure that, as part of the next review of the lockdown, the restrictions on tennis are removed.

WTC would like to thank all members for their forbearance, which allows the club to comply with the law in Wales, in these difficult times.

Despite not being able to play the response from members and the wider community has been amazing! We would like to thank all those members who have re-joined. Your support and our success in securing grants and a number of significant donations means that we have a strong fighting fund for our legal case with our landlords over the terms of our new lease.

Unfortunately, due to the landlords’ inflexibility on the key issues it is likely we will end up in court. We are now fully prepared, legally and financially, to make our case there in order to secure the future of a prized community asset."

Help safeguard the future of our Club by signing our petition against the threat of land development.
